Top 5 Shopping Malls In The World

No one dislikes shopping, but not everyone enjoys window shopping and I top that category. People think girls and shopping go hand in hand, and well they are not entirely wrong. It is indeed the best feeling in the world when one is having a bad day and the worst when one did not have enough to spend.

Living in a country that is abundant in its street shopping culture, shopping malls are not adventurous enough. That is actually what I thought before I did an extensive Google study of the top shopping malls of the world. The following 5 top my list.

1- The West Edmonton Mall,Alberta Canada

The West Edmonton Mall

I will not lie; this mall has my heart because it has the largest indoor water park and the largest indoor amusement park. Water, amusement AND shopping under one roof, what more can you possibly want? Guess the best part? The 800 stores, 18-hole miniature golf course, a movie theatre AND a bowling alley are termed as ‘other attraction’. This one has topped my list.

2- The Mall Of America Bloomignton,Minnesota

The Mall Of America

This mall offers a feature like no other, i.e they offer a planning kit before you enter the mall. The mall has its own tourism package and lets you plan optimally before you start splurging! An indoor amusement park and over 500 stores are all added attractions. This mall is built for shopping, with a balanced focus on high and low ended products.

3- Dubai Mall, Dubai Dubai, UAE

Dubai Mall

No one defines luxury like them Sheikhs. That being said, this mall is number 3 on my list only because I have a personal affiliation with water parks and amusement partks. Not only is Dubai Mall located inside Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest man made structure in the world, it also has the world’s largest candy store! I don’t know about you, but The Charlie and The Chocolate Factory just fast forwarded in my mind! With over 1200 stores there are also 120 restaurants and cafes! I am not even going to mention the other attractions for this one, other than the largest aquarium, 22 cinema screens…

4- SM Mall Of Asia Metro Manilla, Phillipines

SM Mall Of Asia Metro Manilla

Okay, so what I love about it is that it has a 20 seater tram which takes people around the mall. If it makes you feel any better, this mall has topped my mother’s list. The biggest attraction of this mall is the world’s largest 3D IMAX screen. That is legit. Why this mall is on my radar is because it has a Olympic sized skating rink! So, one can shop during a match of competitive ice hockey or be motivated after a figure skating competition. I am a little skeptic about the rush during the game seasons on the other hand.

5- Siam Paragon Bangkok, Thailand

Siam Paragon Bangkok,

It has everything the above mentioned shopping malls have; stores, restaurants, aquarium, multiplex movie theatre. What this has and the others don’t is Thai Art Gallery and an Opera Concert Hall! Variety knows no bound in the commercial world, does it?
